Experience
Initially from advertising I chose to move into digital in 1999. I enjoyed the fact that I could think, write, design and code all in the same seat. My core skills are conceptualisation, art direction and design. I write advertising campaigns to support my conceptual thinking, but also enjoy working with a copywriter. I have a very strong technical knowledge and understand how to deliver most web-enabled campaigns.
I am experienced in the management of people and leading creative teams together with the production of projects and regular commissioning of developers and other creatives. I understand the rigors of building and maintaining an agency and have worked as a Director in my two most recent positions.
Recent interesting stuff
Conceptualised and created one of the UK’s first embedded Facebook campaigns for a Fujifilm product launch.
Enjoyed winning innocent as a client and subsequently developing the relationship with their Creative Director and Head of Web. Initially winning the 2006 Village Fete site and advertising, going on to create their much talked about Buy 1 Get 1 Tree campaign and contributing with conceptual thinking behind a recent ATL campaign. Here’s a quote from Dan Germain, innocent’s Creative Director “After seeing your work in the pitch (some of the best stuff I’ve ever seen in an agency pitch here) I’m really excited about Soup’s involvement in the fete project. It’ll be great to get cracking and start seeing it come to life.”
Winning Soup a place on the Sky online sales and marketing roster. We’ve conceptualized and developed many campaigns since August 2007 and begun to assist them in raising awareness of digital within Sky.
